Are you new to surfing? Playa Grande has large waves at the main peaks but also small waves perfect for learning as well with a nice sandy bottom. Surf board rentals and beginner lessons are available in many languages with board included. Recommended shops include Matos, who also provides great surf photography, and Frijoles Locos. We also recommend Matt Craig of Point Break Surf to teach you surf lessons. SurfingPlayaGrande.com founder Johnny Vigil can set you up with either.
